Russian Opposition Leader Wants Daily Protest Ukraine Against Invasion

Imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has called for daily protests in Russia against Russia’s invasion of neighbouring Ukraine, his spokesman said on Twitter.

The Kremlin critic movement recently called on Russians to engage in civil disobedience.

Navalny, who is regarded as the main political opponent of President Vladimir Putin, had announced in a video message last week that he entirely disapproved of the war.

According to Navalny, Putin’s military campaign covers up “how the Russians are being robbed” and divert attention from the country’s domestic problems, especially the economic downturn.

In recent days, demonstrations against the invasion have taken place in several places in Russia. Many participants were arrested, according to a civil rights movement.
