Norway Claims to Control Coronavirus Outbreak

Norway claims to control the corona outbreak in its own country. According to the government of the Scandinavian country, an infected person hardly infects anyone else.

The estimated infection rate fell to an average of 0.7 people.

For the drastic corona measures, that figure was still 2.5 people, according to the Ministry of Health. Despite the encouraging development, the department considers it too early to ease the measures.

Norway has so far registered nearly 5,800 infections, more than seventy people succumbed to the coronavirus.

The government closed its borders to foreigners in mid-March. Norwegians who return must be kept in isolation for 14 days.
