Germans Support the World Health Organization in Consultation with Trump

In consultation with US President Trump, Germany has underlined the critical role of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the fight against the corona pandemic.

Trump thinks that the WHO has failed and therefore turned off the money tap.

However, according to Chancellor Angela Merkel, the coronavirus can only be overcome with a robust and coordinated international approach.

She expressed her strong support for the WHO, her spokesperson said.

Merkel and Trump had a video conference, along with five other leaders from the world’s seven largest economies (France, Britain, Italy, Canada, Japan, the United States, and Germany). They once again addressed the corona crisis.

The G7 countries agree on debt relief for the poorest countries in the world. Those developing countries may temporarily interrupt the payment of their debts to other countries.
