First Vaccines in Luxembourg to Two Nurses

In Luxembourg, a nurse and a nurse were the first to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Luxembourg first inoculates nurses and others working in health care.

 

Both work in a Luxembourg hospital onwards, where patients with infectious diseases are treated. Monday and Tuesday, about 800 health workers are vaccinated.

On Wednesday, 400 people who work in nursing care for very older people will also be vaccinated, the Luxembourg government reported.

A 96-year-old man received the medical first. First, 450 people are vaccinated in nursing homes. Inoculation is also started in Latvia.

Ireland kicks off on Tuesday.

Boxing Day has started in Germany. In northern Bavaria, local authorities have said they are concerned that vaccines from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and BioNTech would not be adequately transported and could therefore not be used.
