Car Manufacturer Honda Has Stopped Production At Various Locations Worldwide

Car manufacturer Honda has stopped production at various locations worldwide. The company appears to have been affected by a cyberattack.

The nature is unclear, but Honda is said to have been affected by ransomware.

Honda does not make any statements about the cause but acknowledges to car website Jalopnik that it indeed has production problems.

This is due to “a malfunction in the computer network”. This would have an impact on the work of the manufacturer.

According to a company spokesman, the problems mainly occur in Europe and America, but not in Japan.

In the US, employees of a factory are said to have been sent home after their systems stopped working.
