Aviation Industry Headed for A Loss of More Than 84 Billion

The corona crisis is likely to saddle the global aviation industry this year with a loss of $ 84 billion in total. Aviation organization IATA has calculated this.

This makes 2020 probably the “worst year in aviation history”.

Air traffic almost wholly collapsed in recent months due to the virus outbreak. The crisis is estimated to cost hundreds of billions of dollars in sales.

It is not for nothing that governments have to step in to keep large aviation groups like Lufthansa and Air France-KLM afloat.

Many companies are now trying to resume their timetables gradually. However, the forecasts for recovery remain bleak.

IATA previously stated that the demand for air travel due to the coronavirus is likely to remain lower for years than before the crisis.
