Bug on Twitter Makes Fleets Visible for Longer Than 24 Hours

Twitter has been showing off tweets since last week that disappear after 24 hours. But due to an error, they can still be consulted for longer.

A Fleet is a message on Twitter that disappears after 24 hours. But it is technically possible to retrieve older messages.

Via the API of Twitter, it was possible to view the message via the link to a Fleet, even if the 24-hour period had expired.

Fleets were introduced on Twitter last week and are an answer to the ‘stories’, which include Instagram and Snapchat, which first made the feature famous.

Even the LinkedIn business network now has that option.

Twitter confirms the problem to Techcrunch and says it is working on a solution to the problem.

Apart from the period of 24 hours may be Fleets to 30 days held by Twitter itself, or longer if it goes posts which break the rules whenever possible action by the police or the court is required.
