Washington’s Supreme Court Briefly Vacated for Bomb Threat

The Supreme Court seat in the US capital Washington was briefly vacated on Wednesday in connection with a bomb threat.

The evacuation of those in attendance took place shortly before Joe Biden’s inauguration as the 46th President of the United States.

According to a reporter for the NBC Washington channel, it turned out to be a false alarm. The Supreme Court building is located near the Capitol where Biden’s oath will take place.

The new President’s inauguration is accompanied by a massive security operation following the Capitol’s storming by fanatical Trump supporters two weeks ago.

Some 25,000 National Guard soldiers were deployed, among others, and numerous agents from the city, the Capitol and the FBI.
