The United States will open its borders on November 8 for travellers who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. People can then enter the US again by plane or by land.
Before departure by plane, travellers must show a vaccination certificate and also a recent test result that shows that they are not infected with the coronavirus.
The Americans introduced a strict entry policy at the beginning of the pandemic, making it virtually impossible to travel to the country without a US passport or residence permit.
They already announced in September that vaccinated people from much of Europe could come back to the US “in early November”.
