UN Reports Civilian Deaths in Ukraine Exceed 330

The number of civilians killed in Ukraine as a result of military violence since the Russian invasion last week has risen to 331, including 19 children. In addition, at least 675 people were injured.

 

This has been reported by the UN refugee agency UNHCR, with the note that the real number of victims is probably much higher.

The number of confirmed civilian casualties has increased by 82 in one day. They were mainly killed by artillery fire, missile strikes and airstrikes, according to the UNHCR.

On Wednesday, the Ukrainian government spoke of 2,000 civilians killed in the first week of the war.
