Ukraine Asks Europeans with Military Experience for Help

Ukraine is calling on Europeans with experience at the front to come and help. “If you don’t want to face the indecision of politicians, you can come to our country and help us defend Europe,” said Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Zelensky has been increasingly frustrated with the position of Europe.

Among other things, the president had called for Russia to be excluded from the international payment system SWIFT, but European leaders could not agree on this. Zelensky complains that European countries are “in no rush to take strong decisions”.

On Friday morning, a planned phone call from Zelensky with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi was cancelled. Draghi released that, to which Zelenski tweeted: “next time, I will try to shift the programming of the war so that I can call Draghi at a fixed time.”
