Trump: Negotiations On Trade Agreement China

Trump: Negotiations on Trade agreement China are Heading in the right Direction. Negotiations for a new trade agreement between the United States and China are going “quite well,” said US President Donald Trump on Friday.

 

According to Trump, the two superpowers are close to achieving a “historic deal.”

He addressed, at the White House on Friday, during his meeting with Slovakian Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini.

Prior this week, White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney declared that the talks between Washington and Beijing about the trade conflict might end in the next two weeks.

Mulvaney also emphasized that the US only agrees with a good deal.

New conversations in Washington on Wednesday
The countries have, among other things,

 disagreements about the 250 billion dollars in tariffs that the Trump government duties on goods from China.

The countries also oppose the measures the United States wants to take to combat Beijing’s market abuse.

According to Mulvaney, the trade agreement must offer a solution to these issues.

Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Liu He travels to Washington on Wednesday,

 after several “productive” talks with the US finance minister in China this week to further negotiate a possible agreement.
