Storms Elsa and Fabian Ravage Spain and France

In Spain, 2 people died in the passage of the Elsa and Fabian storms. A woman from South Korea died in Madrid when she was hit by rubble and a Dutch surfer drowned off the coast.

 

In Italy too, a dead person fell in severe weather. A man is missing off the coast of France.

In Spain and France, the Elsa and Fabian storms keep the house ugly.

In Madrid, a 32-year-old woman from South Korea died from the consequences of serious injuries she sustained when debris from a public building in the city centre fell down due to strong winds.

Elsewhere in Spain, off the coast of the province of Huelva in the south-west of the country, the sixties from the Netherlands drowned while he was surfing at sea.

In the south-east of France, another man was missing after falling off a sailboat on the Mediterranean on Friday. The emergency services were able to save his travelling companion.

The Côte d’Azur and Corsica have regularly been hit by heavy storms during the past month. Again, heavy rainfall is ravaging the French island.

The airport of the capital Ajaccio was closed for a while due to flooding. Code orange is in force in 18 French departments. The government advises everyone to stay inside.
