In New York last night, three police officers became unwell after drinking milkshakes that contained bleach when possible.
The police unions react furiously and are almost sure that intent is involved. The police in New York, the NYPD, do not assume this after an initial investigation.
The agents stopped at a Shake Shack, an American fast-food chain, on Broadway in Manhattan last night for refreshment. All three fell ill at the same time after drinking part of their milkshake.
Due to the seriousness of the situation, they had to be hospitalized urgently. In the meantime, they have been fired from this, and they are doing well according to circumstances.
Two large police unions took note of the events with horror. Detectives’ Endowment Association, the police union representing 20,000 officers in New York, has already established that it happened on purpose.
“The police in New York and across the country are under attack simply because we are wearing uniforms,” said Paul DiGiacomo, president of the union, in a statement.
“These cowards will make every effort to damage every law enforcement employee. We need to be more vigilant than ever.”
