Moderna Claims Success with Childhood Vaccine Trials

The American pharmaceutical company Moderna claims success in trials with the vaccination of more than 4,700 children between six and eleven.

They were found to have “a strong, robust response” a month after the second shot and to build up immunity to the coronavirus.

Pharmacists want to continue with vaccinations now that so many adults have already been vaccinated. In addition, they hope to provide vaccines for young children.

The US government plans to vaccinate an estimated 28 million children.

More than 330 million people live in the US and, according to official figures, about 150 children died from the effects of the virus last year.
