KLM has launched an investigation into reports of “serious transgressive behaviour” by a former employee who worked as a pilot. According to the airline, several pilots have reported this.
“KLM emphasizes that transgressive behaviour is unacceptable and calls on employees to report if they have or have had to deal with it. KLM has taken note of the reports with dismay,” said the group.
KLM says it has had an investigation carried out by an external expert research agency. “The first feedback from this study gives cause to investigate further whether there could be more similar cases of (serious) transgressive behaviour in the organization.”
The airline wants “to get to the bottom of things” and has therefore already asked employees of Flight Operations (cockpit crew), Inflight Services (cabin crew) and KLM Cityhopper (cockpit and cabin crew).
KLM awaits the investigation results and then considers whether further steps need to be taken. Furthermore, KLM maintains contact with all reporting parties and supports them in every possible way.
