Germany Extends Travel Advice Until June 14

The German government has extended the travel advice for the rest of the world to June 14.

Minister Heiko Maas (Foreign Affairs) said that the point has not yet been reached where people can travel carefree again.

Many countries have taken far-reaching measures in recent months to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

International air traffic is also almost entirely flat.

Many travellers got stuck abroad due to the measures. Germany has repatriated almost a quarter of a million people in recent weeks.

The German government wants to prevent large numbers of people from stranding in other countries.
