Federer and Nadal Re-Elected to ATP Players Council

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have been re-elected to the ATP players’ council. The new term of the two multiple grand slam champions now runs until the summer of 2022.

The same applies to tennis players Andy Murray, Félix Auger-Aliassime, John Millman, Kevin Anderson and Bruno Soares.

Pablo Andujar and Marcus Daniell are new to the players’ council, and Gilles Simon is just returning.

Novak Djokovic, the number 1 in the world, is not on the player’s council. The Serb previously withdrew because there would be a conflict of interest according to a new rule of the ATP.

Djokovic is also one of the founders of a new players’ union, the PTPA. This came after the Serbian had left the ATP players council.
