Federal Reserve Equals US Interest

Federal Reserve equals US Interest. The Federal Reserve (Fed) keeps interest rates in the United States the same.

The American central banks’ umbrella had raised the most critical interest rate by a quarter of a percentage point in June.

The financial markets generally did not anticipate a further increase so short on the previous interest rate step.

The Fed directors stated in a statement that economic growth in the US is ” strong ” and that inflation is approaching the target of 2%.

That is why policymakers are sticking to their policy to step up the interest rate step by step.

Now the interest rate remains the same, on a bandwidth of 1.75 to 2 percent.

But the Fed is likely to raise interest rates twice this year, after two interest rate steps earlier this year.

In 2019, it is assumed that three more interest rate steps will have to be taken to get the US economy and inflation back to the desired levels.

This time no explanation was given by President Jerome Powell.

At the next interest rate decision in September there will be another press conference.
