The European Union and the United Kingdom are set to discuss a financial services deal next week.
Among other things, cooperation between financial regulators will then be on the agenda, a spokesman for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said.
“We want to maintain financial stability, market integrity and investor and consumer protection.”
Financial services were mainly lacking in the trade agreement between the United Kingdom, and the European Union signed the day before Christmas.
The European Union held back the boat, according to Johnson’s spokesman. “During the negotiations, we did focus on a broader deal that also included financial services.”
