Europeans vaccinated with a corona vaccine will be able to travel to Denmark again without restrictions in May.
They will then no longer have to deal with a test obligation and do not have to be quarantined after arrival, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The new policy will apply to residents of EU member states and Schengen countries where the number of corona infections is not too high.
People from those countries are also allowed to go on holiday in Denmark, which starts on April 21 with the gradual implementation of relaxation in the travel policy.
Denmark, with a population of 5.8 million, is also in a hurry to vaccinate residents. Authorities managed to get 104,824 doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna vaccines on Monday. This means that almost 1 in 50 Danes was vaccinated in one day, the highest number so far.
This was done in the context of a large-scale exercise for a period when more vaccines are available.
