Criminals Smuggle Weed with Jet Skis Immigrants to Europe. Europol has rolled up a criminal gang that brought marijuana weed and immigrants from Morocco to Spain. In 30 minutes they crossed the Mediterranean. Europol and the Spanish police have arrested 19 men.
These are men of Moroccan descent who live in different European countries, including France, Italy and Spain. They crossed the 14 kilometres of the Strait of Gibraltar with the ‘contraband’. Jet ski per trip transported up to three refugees.
The immigrants were then transferred to the home of family members of the criminals in the various European countries. The method is labour-intensive and does not cause a significant increase in the number of refugees, according to Europol. There are also a lot of accidents in recent years with the jet skis.
