A man who stabbed at people in a suburb of Paris, Villejuif, was shot by the police. He injured several people in a park.
One of them died later, and two others were seriously injured. That is what the French State Secretary for the Interior, Laurent Nuñez, told the BMFTV channel.
Nothing is yet clear about the perpetrator’s motives. He fled after the stabbing on foot and was shot by the police.
The man had attacked “several people” in a park in Villejuif before he was “neutralised”, the Paris police said.
According to the first images on surveillance videos, the attacker acted alone, but the police are still investigating a possible accomplice.
