Estonia Minister Apologizes Finnish Prime Minister after Calling her Sales Girl. Mart Helme (70), Estonian Interior Minister, has called the new Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin (34) a “salesgirl”.
He also urged the rest of her cabinet, which is led by four other women under 35, “street activists” and “non-educated.” The President of Estonia apologised to Marin.
Mart Helme, the Estonian Minister of the Interior of the radical right-wing party Ekre, made the statements about the new Finnish prime minister on a radio talk show from his party.
Marin, whom he denigrated called a “salesgirl”, is Finland’s new prime minister and, with her 34 springs, the youngest in the world.
Marin herself has made no secret of her modest origins. She said she grew up in a low-income family, and used to work as a cashier. She then went on to study at the university and expanded her political career.
