The Opera browser will soon be equipped with AI-generated content services, including the popular ChatGPT. This includes a sidebar in which a concise summary of the visited website appears via artificial intelligence.
Opera is known for its rapid integration of Internet services and tools that have quickly become commonplace, such as WhatsApp, TikTik, and Telegram. Now that ChatGPT has passed the milestone of one hundred million users, the developer thinks the time is right to add such AI projects to the browser as well.
Opera plans to add multiple AI-generated content services to the browser’s sidebar. In addition, the company says it is also working on “improving the browsing experience with features that interact with these new generative AI-powered capabilities.”
One of the first features to be tested is the “Shorten” button, which AI can use to generate short summaries of a web page or article. The new functionality is coming to both desktop versions of Opera and mobile browsers.
