Twitter Again Records High Number of Users, According to Musk

Twitter has broken its record number of users again, reports new owner Elon Musk without giving numbers to substantiate his claim.

According to the billionaire, who took over the social medium last month, the daily number of users was also higher than ever before last Friday.

Musk’s first weeks as the Twitter owner are mainly accompanied by unrest. For example, he already fired half the staff and lost many more employees this week because they had not promised to work harder.

Musk had asked for that commitment and stated they would otherwise have to leave. Instead, many employees opted for the severance package, which forced Twitter to close offices. Otherwise, it was unclear who was still allowed to be in the buildings.

According to the Bloomberg news agency, Musk then decided to relax the home-working policy. At first, the businessman wanted Twitter staff to be in the office for at least 40 hours a week. The reason for the change is the large outflow of personnel.

In addition, the new subscription service Twitter Blue, also known as the blue tick, is also being adjusted after its launch led to unrest.
