The Democratic President of the American House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi wants to restrict President Donald Trump’s military competence.
Delegates are voting this week on a resolution to limit Trump’s military actions against Iran.
The announcement of Pelosi comes when Trump sends thousands of troops to the Middle East because of the tensions in the region caused by the death of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. H
e was killed in Iraq on Friday by an American rocket. Iran has sworn revenge. Trump said 52 Iranian targets had been selected that can be attacked if Iran actually takes revenge.
“Last week the Trump government carried out a provocative and disproportionate military air raid on Iranian military dignitaries,” writes Pelosi in a letter to the House.
“This action put our soldiers, diplomats and others at risk. Our primary accountability is to protect the American people.”
