Fighting Against CO2 Gives China Billions of Savings

Fighting Against CO2 Gives China Billions of Savings. In applying its climate policy, China, thanks to a decrease in mortality, can save much more in health care than it has to take for measures to combat air pollution. This is stated in a report published today by the acclaimed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US.

A year-long reduction of four percent of carbon dioxide emissions will enable Beijing to save $ 339 billion in health care by 2030, according to the study published in the journal Nature Climate Change.

That amount is about four times as high as the expenditure provided by Beijing for its policy to reduce CO2 emissions.

The enormous country can avoid 94,000 premature deaths by improving air quality between here and 2030.

Citi News writes, China is currently emitting the most greenhouse gases in the world from all countries in the world. The large amount of released CO2 can lead to various types of diseases.
