The cryptocurrency Bitcoin set a new record on Monday, ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.
The world’s most famous cryptocurrency reached $109,241, equivalent to around 105,924 euros. The previous record, set in December, was more than 108,000 dollars.
‘Crypto capital’
Investors expect Trump to loosen regulations on digital currencies. During his election campaign, he promised to make the United States a global “crypto capital.”
