Biden and Sanders Reach A Compromise on Electoral Votes

Democrats Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have reached an agreement on the distribution of electoral votes at the Democratic convention where it is finally decided that Biden will be the Democratic presidential candidate.

That reports American media.

Senator Sanders has already left the race but still wants to keep his ‘delegates’. In this way, he can influence the party program.

Because Sanders had left the race too early, all electors would go to Biden. To avoid internal conflict, he has agreed with Sanders that the senator may keep all his electoral votes.

“Our campaigns are grateful for the unity within the party,” said a joint statement from the Sanders and Biden teams.

Biden announced on Thursday that his campaign team has started finding the right running mate for him. He has previously announced that it will be a woman.
