Britons can Go to France Without Urgent Reason

The French prime minister has said that vaccinated Britons will no longer need an urgent reason to enter France from Friday.

The relaxation follows a period of friction over the French corona policy, in which travellers from the United Kingdom were no longer allowed to travel to or through France.

According to the French government, which said it would apply the travel restriction during the Christmas holidays, this was a logical consequence of the fact that the British are not part of the European Union.

The travel restriction caused a lot of commotion among Britons, including Britons who wanted to travel to another EU country via France. London angrily demanded clarification.

Paris was already reassuringly informed that travelling Britons would be very lenient.
