OnePlus Launches New Flagship 10 Pro 5G (First in China)

Anyone who was preying on the latest top smartphone from OnePlus will have to exercise some patience. The brand new 10 Pro 5G with Android 12 will first appear on the Chinese market this week, and only ‘later in 2022’ in Europe.

The eye-catcher of the OnePlus 10 Pro is the second-generation Hasselblad Camera for Mobile. That optic includes three rear cameras, can record in full 10-bit colour and supports the OnePlus Billion Color Solution: natural colour calibration ‘on more than a billion colours’. In addition to the main camera, there is a telephoto lens and a wide-angle lens with a 150° field of view and a new Fisheye mode.

The 10 Pro is also the first OnePlus phone with a Movie Mode that allows you to adjust the ISO value, shutter speed and white balance while filming.

The new smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 Mobile Platform that will receive support for up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Also on board are a Qualcomm AI Engine (seventh generation) and a Snapdragon X65, the world’s first 10 Gigabit 5G Modem-RF solution.

The display then: OnePlus equipped the device with a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel that can handle refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz – depending on the content. According to the manufacturer, the display, therefore, consumes less power than other smartphones’ 120Hz and 90Hz displays. In addition, the new Dual Color Calibration function should ensure that the screen is calibrated for accurate colour reproduction at two different levels of brightness: high and low.

Also worth mentioning is the 80W SuperVOOC Flash Charge, a technology that can bring the 5,000mAh battery of this OnePlus from 1 to 100 percent in just 32 minutes. The device also supports 50W AirVOOC Wireless Flash Charge, which fully charges the device in 47 minutes. An 80W charging dock and USB-C cable are included.
