According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are no indications that the coronavirus is also prevalent in North Korea.
The WHO is willing to assist the Stalinistically governed and isolated country in potential testing patients.
According to Yonhap news agency, the South Korean government has indicated through international organisations such as the WHO that it is willing to help North Korea fight coronavirus.
The Pyongyang regime said on Tuesday that no confirmed cases of the virus have yet been detected.
North Korea did ask the WHO office for help in fighting the virus. The country mainly needs mouth masks and means to perform tests.
In South Korea, 51 virus infections have now been reported. Despite strict quarantine measures, the country said 20 new cases on Wednesday. Eighteen of the new cases have been discovered in Daegu.
