Saudi Arabia Mosques are Allowed to Open for Friday Prayers

Believers in Saudi Arabia are allowed to return to Friday prayers under certain conditions. The mosques are allowed to open their doors again for that.

The houses of worship had been closed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The mosques are allowed to open the doors 20 minutes before the start of the prayer and must close again 20 minutes after the end, according to local media.

The authorities in the country announced on Monday that the corona measures would be relaxed in three phases.

The mass pilgrimages to, for example, Mecca remain prohibited until further notice.
