The coffin of the British Queen Elizabeth has been placed in the hearse at the triumphal arch Wellington Arch. From there, she is taken to Windsor Castle, where her final public funeral will take place.
In the evening, she and her husband Philip are interred there in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.
The procession starts in Windsor at around 3.10 pm UK time. King Charles and other family members walk behind the coffin. The procession stops at St George’s Chapel, where a final public service for the Queen takes place. Queen Elizabeth and her husband Philip are then interred in the burial vault. The interment is private.
The funeral ceremony in Westminster Abbey was attended Monday morning by, among others, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Beatrix.
